Join thousands of others who are taking on the Walk 80 Miles challenge during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month for Young Lives vs Cancer. Get walking 80 miles between 1 – 30 September to raise money to support children and young people with cancer.

Supporting families facing the hardest journey
80 miles may not seem like a long way. But when you can’t afford to put any more petrol in the tank and you’re making the gruelling trip to hospital so your child can receive life-saving cancer treatment, every single mile is unbearable.
But 80 miles is the average distance that a young cancer patient has to travel from home to a specialist treatment centre. Not only is this physically and emotionally exhausting, it comes it a huge financial cost too. It costs £255 a month when treatment is at its most intense. As treatment can go on for years, young people and families are often plunged into debt.
Take on the Walk 80 Miles challenge this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and help relieve the unbearable financial pressures that come with cancer. Because no family should have to face the hardest journey alone.

Unfortunately, under 18s are not allowed to set up an online Fundraiser. However, under 18s can still take part in Walk 80 Miles Challenge and set up a fundraiser under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
We are here with you every step of the way to help you complete 80 miles in September. We have a support team on hand to give advice and top tips to help you reach your target.

A Young Lives vs Cancer fundraiser are one of the easiest ways to collect your sponsorship. Your money comes directly to Young Lives vs Cancer so you don’t have to worry about admin or bank transfers.

Also a snazzy Young Lives vs Cancer sponsorship form will be included in your fundraising pack! There are handy instructions for how to pay this in on the form. All you need to do is deposit your sponsorship into your own bank account, and then pay this in via our website.
Alternatively your friends can make a donation through our website – if they choose this option please make sure they include your full name and supporter number in the form – just so we know it’s you!
Yes, of course! The more the merrier. Just share the Walk 80 Miles sign-up form with anyone who would like to join.
Yes – you can join from anywhere! Unfortunately, we aren’t able to post our fundraising packs internationally, but you can print off your sponsorship form and progress tracker, and still be a vital part of Team Young Lives for Walk 80 Miles Challenge.
We send fundraising packs out twice a week but they can sometimes take 10 – 14 working days to arrive. If your pack has not arrived, please contact us on virtualchallenges@younglivesvscancer.org.uk.
