Kid’s Spring Challenge
Sign your child up and join thousands of families taking on the Kid's Spring Challenge this April, to support children and young people with cancer.

Have fun walking or running 5K, 10K, or 20K through Nailsea town and countryside as part of Team Young Lives. All starting and finishing at the Scotch Horn Leisure Centre in Nailsea, and there are 3 different routes to choose from to suit everyone!
The walk and run distance options are:
1. The Nailsea 5K “The Stroll”. At 5 kilometres (approx. 3 miles) on footpaths around Nailsea, this may appeal to families and is intended to be an easy fun walk – or a not too taxing fun run to start the day! It is pushchair/stroller, wheelchair and disability vehicle friendly.
2. The Nailsea 10K . At 10 kilometres (approx 6 miles) mainly in the surrounding countryside, this is for people who would prefer a route that is longer and slightly more challenging.
3. The Nailsea 20K Challenge At 20 kilometres (approx 12 miles) mainly in the surrounding countryside, this is for the more experienced who are fit and who like more of a challenge.
Registration Fee: £10
Fundraising Target: We don’t ask you to raise a minimum amount, we simply ask that you raise as much as you can.
Every £60 you raise could pay for a family to stay overnight in one of Young Lives vs Cancer’s Homes from Home, providing free self-catering accommodation near to specialist children’s cancer treatment centres, which are often many miles from a family’s own home. Staying in a Home from Home ensures a family can be close to their child during treatment.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer it threatens everything, for them and their family.
At a time when they should be busy being children, enjoying their rollercoaster teenage years or finding their feet at uni, life becomes full of fear. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, of overwhelming money worries, mental health stretched to breaking point, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, we get that. We are the charity that helps children and young people and their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
